Canada C-11 (IMP)

Canada C 11 Entrepreneur Program Overview

The Canada C‑11 Work Permit, also known as the Entrepreneur or Significant Benefit work permit, is a federal program under the International Mobility Program that allows foreign entrepreneurs and business owners to establish or expand a business in Canada that will provide significant economic, social, or cultural benefit to the country. It provides a temporary work permit without requiring a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), giving entrepreneurs the ability to launch and operate their business in Canada while pursuing pathways to permanent residence.

The program is designed to attract innovative entrepreneurs who can create jobs, contribute to innovation and generate positive impact for the Canadian economy. It is widely used by startup founders, investors and business owners looking to operate or grow their company in Canada.

WHY Choose Canada C-11 (IMP) Program?

The C‑11 Work Permit offers foreign entrepreneurs and their families the ability to live and work in Canada while building a business that contributes to the Canadian economy. Unlike traditional work permits, it does not require LMIA approval, enabling faster entry for qualified business operators. Spouses of C‑11 work permit holders may be eligible for open work permits and dependent children can attend Canadian schools. The program also supports a transition to permanent residence through pathways such as Provincial Nominee Programs or Express Entry.
