INVESTMENT REQUIREMENTS
Applicants for the Oman Residency by Investment Program may qualify through several government approved investment routes designed to attract long term capital and high value residents to the Sultanate. The primary option is the financial contribution route, which allows investors to obtain permanent 10 year residency through a one time government fee of OMR 500,000 or a renewable 5 year residency through an investment of OMR 250,000, payable to the relevant authorities. Both options grant residency without the need for a local sponsor and provide long term stability for applicants and their families.
In addition to the financial contribution option, applicants may qualify through approved real estate ownership, requiring the purchase of qualifying residential property in Oman valued at OMR 500,000 for a 10 year permit or OMR 250,000 for a 5 year permit, in designated areas in compliance with Omani property regulations. Another key route is business or commercial investment, which involves establishing or investing in a licensed Omani company, purchasing government approved bonds, or creating jobs for Omani nationals. All investments must meet regulatory requirements and be maintained in accordance with Omani investment and immigration laws. The program offers eligible investors and their families secure, long term residency while supporting Oman’s Vision 2040 economic diversification and development objectives.
