USA EB-2 NIW
USA EB-2 National Interest Waiver (NIW) Overview
The USA EB-2 National Interest Waiver (NIW) Program is an employment based immigration category that allows foreign nationals with advanced degrees or exceptional abilities to obtain U.S. permanent residence without requiring a specific job offer or employer sponsorship. The program is designed for individuals whose work is deemed to be in the national interest of the United States, such as research, technology, healthcare, business, or other fields with substantial public benefit.
Through the EB-2 NIW, qualified applicants can gain lawful permanent residence in the United States while continuing their professional work independently, contributing to the U.S. economy, innovation and societal development. The program is attractive for highly skilled individuals seeking stability, professional growth and mobility for themselves and their families.
WHY Choose USA EB-2/NIW Visa?
The EB-2 NIW Program provides eligible applicants and their families the ability to live, work and study anywhere in the United States. Unlike other employment based visas, it does not require employer sponsorship, giving applicants greater flexibility and control over their careers.
Spouses of EB-2 NIW visa holders are eligible to apply for work authorization and children under 21 can study in U.S. schools and universities. The program provides a clear pathway to permanent residence and, eventually, U.S. citizenship, while allowing applicants to pursue work that is recognized as being in the public or national interest. It is particularly suitable for individuals seeking stability, professional advancement and the ability to contribute meaningfully to their field in the United States.
